"You see a difference in customer service right away! Everyone was genuinely courteous (as compared to the pretentious courtesy). Very pleasant stay. Beautiful lobby (pianist in the evenings)."

"Upon arrival I noted that there were no bathrobes in our room. I immediately asked housekeeping regarding this matter, as I planned to use the lap pool. At 1:30 p.m. She advised that they would be brought up shortly. After our dinner meeting, we arrived back at the hotel at 2:00 a.m. to find that we still had yet to have bathrobes. I asked the Front Desk about this matter, and 45 minutes later they arrived (had to stay awake for them to arrive)."

"I booked a good room at the Royal York and when I called to confirm, I mentioned that I would be checking in very late, as my bride and I would be returning from our wedding reception. When we did check in, we were given a major upgrade as a sort of wedding gift... you don't find customer service like that in a manual... you either have it or you don't. Excellent Hotel."
